This partnership was launched in collaboration with their long-term partner, Textil Santanderina, and is set to address the growing demand for sustainability while ensuring complete traceability and transparency within the textile industry. Furthermore, Lenzing is expanding the use of their Carbon Neutral Fibers TENCEL™ branded fibers, initially introduced in 2020 through their partnership with European fabric manufacturer Klopman, into the workwear segment.

Lenzing is at the forefront of this transformation by offering an eco-conscious solution for protective wear through their remarkable Carbon Neutral Fibers LENZING™ FR fiber.

Notably, this revolutionary fiber not only meets the stringent criteria outlined by the European Man-made Fibers Association (CIRFS) for ‘inherently flame retardant and resistant fibers,’ but it also boasts carbon neutrality, setting a new benchmark in sustainability. Lenzing’s fiber identification technology plays a pivotal role in ensuring supply chain transparency, reducing the carbon footprint, and safeguarding products from counterfeit practices.

Lenzing’s partnership with Klopman spans more than a decade, and it commenced with the replacement of cotton with TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers. Over the years, this collaboration has evolved, incorporating TENCEL™ fibers with REFIBRA™ technology. In a remarkable leap, Klopman has become the first company in the workwear segment to embrace the use of carbon-neutral TENCEL™ fibers, demonstrating the increasing demand for sustainable, high-performance workwear solutions.
